My family!
I love you guys!
And holy mackerel! We had another baptism! Suprise! Remember the accident I told you about last week? Well, a woman who's husband died in the accident got baptized. He was a member and now in a year she can go to the temple and be sealed to him forever with their daughters. That was so cool. SO COOL!!
Also, I totally forgot to tell you guys about the miracles we saw last week. So I will tell you now.
We found a woman (the mom of the woman that got baptized this past saturday) that we have been looking for for ages.
One of our investigators that is usually on the bus on monday mornings just randomly decided to stay home and the bus she would have been on is the one that crashed. Actually, two investigators skipped that one.
Hermano Juan Miguel was sick!!! He drinks... and we have been praying that he would be too sick to leave to go drink and every time he wanted to drink he would get super sick... well, it was a weird request, but Heavenly Father answer prayers.
No missionaries were on the bus last monday!
We found 10 families to contact (its a rule, 10 families everyday) and the odds were totally against us.
One of our recent converts has a heart!! We have been struggling with her to get her to read and come to church, but she gave her umbrella to some sweet family while we talked to them one day. There is HOPE guys!!
Thats something I want to do more, make a list of the miracles we have seen.
But fun news from yesterday! we went to a girls camp like place yesterday for pday with the district, and we were doing the obstacles and one was that you stand of a rope, while holding another rope... well, hna wilcox fell off the rope, and I managed to stay on somehow, but the rope on top flew back and beamed me in the dome. Blood. Everywhere. I have pictures, dont worry, but I think my nose is broken. Haha... Whoops!
Something I have been learning: We cant be changed if we dont humble ourselves and let the Lord change us. We can be so awesome through Him, but we choose not to be! We start trusting in ourselves more than Him. And honestly, He can make us so much more than we ever could.
2 nefi 31 is a really good chapter you guys could read :)
Ok, sorry my list was sashort, but now I will try to send pics and read your emails. Love you!
Be happy and safe and have fun!
Love, Hermana Evans

My family!!!
I love you guys!
San Martin is great! it is SO different from Parramos, but I love it already. Its actually a branch not a ward, and the church is more of a house. but i love it.
We had a little earthquake the other day! I was standing in the house and all of the sudden I was possitive i was passing out. It didnt make sense because I had been drinking plenty of water I thought and then hna Wilcox came running in so excited that it was an earthquake. So yeah, I didnt pass out.
Also, our little pueblo took a pretty bad hit with a bus crash... its really really sad. but! We have the opportunity to teach a TON of plan of salvation lessons now and help these families become eternal. A man from our branch was killed too, we are trying to work with his wife and kids to get them baptized so they can be an eternal family. Its crazy how much the town pulls together when disasters happen.
Oh, dad wanted to google stalk my families here... and I dont have an exact address, but you can try San Martin Jilotepeque. Its by Chimaltenango.
Funny story: I was contacting a very sassy woman and she told us we could visit her... but she had a condition... and well I didnt catch that part.. just that she was sassy. So i just kept nodding my head and agreeing with her and then invited her to church and moved on with the help of hna Wilcox. Hna Wilcox just laughed SO hard as we walked away and told me that I had just agreed to pray to the virgin mary with the woman. That was her condition. And i did it with a smile square on my face!
There was also another family we contacted at their houses (massive family, lots of houses kind of hooked together) but the mom just kept going around gathering people up saying "come listen! they came to talk about God!" and then she told us "oh, you have to talk to my father. he isnt well, talk about God to him" And we had a random croud of catholics listening to us talk about Joseph Smith and the whole time they were totally on board until they clarified at the end that Joseph Smith is not Joshua from the Bible. and then they disagreed.
I contacted a man the other day and I asked where his wife was, he told me he didnt have one, hes still looking. And then he may or may not have offered to marry me. I dont know. Spanish is hard.
I would just like to thank all my seminary teachers for making us memorize scripture mastery! It has come in handy several times now.
If you have advice on how to get all the old women to stop talking, I would love it. They talk SO MUCH. Normally i would love to listen, but its usually false doctrine or a story about how they got all their many chickens on the top of a bus.
Oh, I got more word on my sitch next transfer, I will definitely be training. the training lasts for two changes so I was hoping to get a latina that has already had one transfer that i can just finish her training, but nope! Heavenly Father really likes to challenge us. I will be recieving a fresh from the MTC gringa (most likely... there is a 2 percent chance that I will get a latina... Im hoping for the latina..... but im happy with whatever companion I get.)
Ok, folks, some scriptures. Mosiah 3:19, Alma 57:21, DyC 58:42... and the talk from Pres Packer from April.
I love you all! And I will try to hurry and send pics. love you guys! Be happy and safe and have fun!
Love Hermana Evans
