My family! i love you guys!

Holy cow.  are you ready^?!  so get this, Tiffany, did i tell you about her?  she is the granddaughter of a blind woman in the ward.  she is 17 and holy wild child.  but get this... she got baptized on sunday!!!!!  Her interview was an 1 hour and 30 minutes long... wow.  but she got special permission to get baptized and she is clean.  100 percent clean.

Also, this is fun, we have changes tomorrow... and my companion and i arent going!! why?  we dont have changes!! so she is out of training now and we are just normal missionaries!  this is my second normal change in my whole mission.  Holy cow.

but we have lots of very awesome positive people to get baptized this month.  and we had 8 people at church on sunday.  we saw so many miracles.  I know that our Heavenly Father is blessing us.

My companion and i had a "Jesus Moment" (thats what she called it.) we were teaching a recent convert of 11 years and other little kids and it started raining, so we had umbrellas and get this, they all dashed under our umbrellas.  so youve seen those pics of Jesus with all the niƱos, right?  well, thats what happened.  and we just taught them like that for a second. it was great.

Tiffany´s baptism was great. she came up to us after and told us that it was beautiful.  and it was!  she felt great after!  she told us that a few months ago she couldnt even sleep knowing all the things she had done.  but now she feels calm and happy.

lifes good.  love it!  be safe and happy and i love you all!  adios!

My family!!!

I love you guys!!

Holy mackeral.  THis week... are ya ready? bueno. so i have never gotten so many questions in my life about everything from investigators.  here are some of the questions we have gotten in the last week

why are you so tall?

why do you talk like that?

how do you say "i love you like a love song baby?"

whats your phone number?

do you have facebook?

are you going to visit me with those pretty yellow eyes?  or others? (my answer : others.)

can you say bad words?

how old are you?

are you from canada?

how do you say "i love you"?

are you two sisters?

How do you say "poison ivy"?

those are just some of the questions.  it has been crazy.

but it has been nice n fun.

Last night, well, sunday night someone knocked on the door.. it was a councelor in the stake presidency, he gave us a referrel to visit last night, we went, her name is madeline, she is going to get married soon, she lives with a less active guy, we taught, challenged, prayed hard, and she accepted.  with a fat smile on her face.  She will get baptized soon.  that was a sweet tender mercy that we needed.  turns out missionary work doesnt get easier with time.  but good news! we are happy and doing great!

oh!! and we had a meeting every day last week.  that was great.  our lesson numbers suffered because of that.  But its ok. we teach people. not lessons.

Ok, i love you guys, you are great.  be safe and happy and i love you!

Family!!

I love you guys so much.

Today has been so weird but so great.  Holy cow.  I didnt think i would cry so much while facetiming with Nate, but what do ya know... i cried like a little baby.  I cant tell you how grateful i am for that opportunity.  If i could be in Nates shoes right now, i would switch in a heartbeat.  I love being a missionary.  My mission has changed me.  I am still changing.  I am being purified.  Nate, you will be purified.  Something President Markham says is "when i left my mission, i knew i was clean. when you all finish your missions, you will be clean."  I cant tell you how great that is.  So Nate, I will mash up what i have learned from my two mission presidents.  "Be changed. Be cleaned."  I love you all so much.  i want you to know that.

This week has been SO GREAT!"!!!  We had a meeting with Elder Ochoa from the area presidency, that was SO AWESOME!!! i loved it! He is inspired.  that comes with the calling.  But then it was a miracle, seriously, when president gave me permission to call Nate.  I didnt htink i would get that chance.  And holy cow. so many miracles have happened, so many funny things, i wont be able to expain of it all.

Manuel, is an old man that has worked hard his whole life. we are teaching him and he is progressing so fast!  His wife has cancer and i know that God is listening to our prayers.  He was SO excited to go to church on sunday he left his house 30 minutes early and only lives 5 minutes away from the church and waited out side the church until we got there to walk in with us. he was so nervous.  but he loved it and said he is coming back next week.  He said, "i am going to get baptized and i am going to stay with you." that was such a cool experience.

With a woman named Berta that has been deported 3 times from the US she also has been making serious progress.  She went to church with her daughter and niece and it was awesome.

On sunday, we had such a fun day.  Miracles at church, and a blast in the street.  it started raining buckets and dogs and stuff like normal and the streets filled up to be rivers and several cars driving past us completely splashed us with water. it was great.  so wet.  but we were walking along and a drunk guy came up to us.  so i invited him to church thinking that would be it. but he had a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.  the moment he saw us he tossed the cigarette and started talking to us. he wanted us to write down his adress to visit him because he wants to change his life. he has a 2 year old daughter. and at the end of all that, even during the contact i was splashed 3 times by cars, and i asked "so what are you going to do with your beer? are you going to throw it away?" he just hesitated, said, "yeah" so i was looking around for a garbage can, didnt see one, but i hear a big clunk and looked over.  he had chucked it into the street.  it was almost full. so i said, "woooooo! good job!  how do you feel now?" he said quietly, "i feel free."  Its true.  he has a long way to go with that addiction, but in an instant we can start to feel free from the things that chain us down.

I love you guys.  I hope you are reading your scriptures always.  Keep it up!  You are all so awesome.

Love, Hna Evans

My family!

I love you guys so much.  But holy mackeral.  time flies SOOOO FAST!!! way too fast.

anywho, so this week has been great.  Hna Kap is awesome.  SO FUNNY! seriously!  I cant think of the thing she said today, but it was way funny.

umm, we have several investigators that are doing great!  A woman named Melisa, she is a widow with 4 kids all under the age of 6.  Crazy.  but yeah, this week she is totally going to the church, and also, she is getting baptized soon.  she just doesnt know that yet.

Also, we had a lesson with a recent convert-less active, named Walvis, he doesnt go to church because of the bishop.  but he is super pilas!  he wants to serve a mission.

oh random thought... wanna send me a pic of the ogden temple? i want to see it.  also, how are the temple trips going?

how is the preach my gospel going? and the scriptures? i love that in the last conference in april, at least twice i heard apostles say "there is protection in the Book of Mormon."  so, i tell everyone that.  and its true.

OHHH!  so get this, we were in a lesson with a really awesome girl, tifany, she is 17 and so cool.  and all was going well, and then, a cat comes out of nowhere and had just barely caught a mouse... and during the lesson, in the same room as us, started eating that very mouse.  crunches and everything.  so gross.  SO GROSS.

it has been raining cats and dogs lately.  we walk through rivers.  its pretty awesome.  so, to nate, if you ever get rained on like that, here is some advice.  you cant run from it.  you just deal with it.  but, put all your books in bags, and then, wrap your backpack in a garbage bag. and keep smiling.

Also, never ever ever get discouraged.  That is a huge thing satan does to missionaries and it never helps.  so just be positive.  think positively.  if you are sad, its ok for a second, and then be happy again.  trials do not last forever.  i love you.

Be so safe and happy and i love you!!!

Love, Hna evans
